Last week, RegenIL, the Center for Innovative Agriculture in Israel, hosted a soil health seminar for researchers and farmers at the Netter Center in Mikve Israel.
Mikve Israel is the first agricultural school in Israel, established by Karl Netter, the General Secretary of the Jewish-French organization “Alliance Israélite Universelle.” The school’s vision is deeply connected to settlement continuity, engagement in agriculture, and training the future farmers in Israel.
The soil health seminar, held at the Netter Center in Mikve Israel—which promotes Israeli innovation and entrepreneurship in the fields of agri-tech and climate—featured senior experts discussing a range of important topics, such as healthy soil and sustainable nutrition, regenerative agriculture, soil conservation and improvement, and the use of remote sensing to assess soil health, among others.
Our role at the seminar included setting up a registration form for attendees, printing name tags on-site on the day of the event, and staffing the registration desks with our excellent team of attendants. Printing tags with the Forms-Wizard system was done directly from the form management interface, with the attendants there to welcome the participants upon their arrival.
The seminar also included a unique networking element that we wanted to share with you. The event featured three types of participants: farmers, researchers, and trainers. The organizers conducted a matchmaking process in advance, and each name tag included suggestions for two specific participants with whom it would be beneficial to sit or start a conversation throughout the day. The goal was, of course, to enrich the attendees’ experience and encourage the formation of new and productive professional connections.
